Ironland Just Got Noticed!

Hi citizen! This was a huge week for Ironland. Our micronation has caught the eye of some important people in the city, and we've even started to see interest from local government agencies. It feels like things are really beginning to pick up speed! 🤯

City Meeting + Explore Asheville

To make the Flatiron statue our official home, we’ll need the city’s collaboration. So last week, I asked everyone to follow the official Explore Asheville account as a show of friendship and power—and you all delivered!

The account gained about 30,000 followers in just 24 hours, and the city even posted a video offering to work as allies. This is big news, because Explore Asheville is not just a tourism group, but an official agency that is operated and funded by the government.

Riding that success, I attended the Public Arts Council meeting. This is the group that is officially in charge of the Iron Statue, and whose support we would need to add some kind of Ironland plaque or sign to our territory. During the meeting, I was able to share the news that our micronation has 200,000 citizens and 40 million people around the world paying attention to Ironland.

Overall, the council was thrilled and seemed eager to support us. I’ve been invited to several special committee meetings to keep things moving forward. My favorite part was that several citizens from the nearby university showed up in support!

Right now, I’m heading over to the Explore Asheville offices to brainstorm videos we can work on together that will continue to spread the word about Ironland. It’s amazing to see our community growing from online-only to a real-world movement. Thank you for your participation and loyalty!

Ironland Has 3 New Embassies!

We're thrilled to announce the opening of three new embassies in New Zealand, the UAE, and Qatar! Our New Zealand embassy even features a very special citizen—a stuffed kiwi bird, proudly sitting alongside the Ironland emblem in its new home.

Is your country on the list? Click here to see the full embassy database. To open an Ironland Embassy, simply print out our emblem, place an iron on top, and send us a photo or video. Our goal is to have at least one embassy in every country by the end of the year. North Korea may be the only one that is out of reach, but we've already established embassies in a few countries where YouTube is blocked!
